Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim: What We Know So Far About the Upcoming Model

Samsung is reportedly planning to expand its Galaxy S25 lineup with a new model—the Galaxy S25 Slim. According to reports, this thinner version of the flagship series could launch in the second quarter of 2025, providing users with a new option in the premium smartphone market.

Galaxy S25 Slim Joins the Galaxy S25 Family

The Galaxy S25 series is expected to feature three core models: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, a fourth model, the Galaxy S25 Slim, is in development, with the model number SM-S937, and the U.S. version marked as SM-S937U. This could be Samsung's answer to the potential "Slim" iPhone variant from Apple, signaling a trend toward thinner devices in the high-end smartphone market.

The Galaxy S25 Slim has already been listed in the GSMA IMEI database, though only under the generic name “Galaxy,” which suggests Samsung is keeping details under wraps. Samsung typically registers new models with GSMA six months before their official launch, meaning the S25 Slim could be released in April or May 2025.

Camera Features and Thinner Design

Though there is little detailed information at this point, there are indications that the Galaxy S25 Slim may feature a high-resolution camera. Popular tipster Ice Universe has suggested that the device could share the primary 200MP camera from the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This could offer impressive photographic capabilities, even in a slimmer design.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to have a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a super-telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. In comparison, the Galaxy S25 Slim might only feature the 200MP primary camera, possibly paired with a more typical setup—such as a 12MP ultrawide and 10MP telephoto lens—similar to the Galaxy S25+. The front-facing camera is likely to be a 12MP lens, consistent across the S25 series.

The emphasis on a slimmer form factor, combined with potentially high-quality camera features, positions the Galaxy S25 Slim as an attractive option for users seeking a sleek yet functional device. If the S25 Slim comes to market as expected, it could drive competition and encourage other manufacturers to explore slimmer designs in their flagship smartphones.
