With this new chat history feature, when users visit the web portal of ChatGPT, they can see a magnifying glass icon in the side panel. This icon is present on the left side of the window. When users click on this icon, a text field opens in which they can enter keywords to search for a previous chat. Recent chats are also visible in this text field, allowing users to easily access their history through the typed keyword.
Who is this feature available for?
This feature has currently been rolled out for ChatGPT Plus and Team users. OpenAI has also said that Enterprise and Edu subscribers will get this feature in the next one week. However, users with the free version may have to wait a bit for this feature.
