Apple is set to unveil its new iPhone 16 Pro series soon, with an announcement likely happening around early September, potentially on September 10. Here’s a look at what we can expect from the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max based on the latest reports.
Bigger Screens
The iPhone 16 Pro models are expected to feature larger displays compared to their predecessors. The standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus may keep their current sizes, but the Pro versions will likely have bigger screens. The iPhone 16 Pro is rumored to sport a 6.3-inch display, an upgrade from the 6.1-inch screen on the iPhone 15 Pro. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is anticipated to have a 6.9-inch display, up from 6.7 inches on the previous model.
Powerful A18 Pro Chip
The iPhone 16 series will likely be powered by Apple’s new A18 chip, with the Pro models featuring a more advanced version called the A18 Pro. This chip will bring improvements in CPU and GPU performance, with a focus on enhancing the Neural Engine for better AI performance. This upgrade aims to future-proof the iPhone for increasingly AI-driven applications.
New Color Options
Apple is also expected to introduce new color choices for the iPhone 16 Pro models. The current Blue Titanium will be replaced by a new ‘Desert Titanium,’ featuring a bronze-like finish with possible rose accents. Black Titanium will become a deeper shade, resembling Midnight Black. The updated lineup will also include new versions of Natural Titanium and White Titanium.
New Capture Button
The iPhone 16 series might introduce a new physical button called the ‘Capture’ button. Located on the right side of the device, below the Side button, this new feature will enhance the camera experience, allowing users to take photos quickly and possibly offering additional controls for zoom and focus.
Enhanced Camera Features
Significant upgrades are expected for the camera system on the iPhone 16 Pro models. The Ultra Wide camera is rumored to increase from 12MP to 48MP, aligning it with the Main camera. This upgrade could improve Spatial Video capture. Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro will likely include a 5x optical zoom, similar to what was introduced in last year’s iPhone 15 Pro Max.
