Jio has introduced its latest feature phone in India, the JioPhone Prima 2, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. This new model aims to enhance Jio’s presence in the budget 4G segment, succeeding last year's Jio Prima 4G. The Prima 2 continues to offer access to a range of Jio apps and now includes support for UPI payments.
JioPhone Prima 2 Specifications:
The JioPhone Prima 2 features a 2.4-inch QVGA curved display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. It is equipped with a Qualcomm chipset, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card.
Running on KaiOS, the Prima 2 supports essential apps such as YouTube, Facebook, and Google Assistant. It also includes Jio apps like JioTV, JioCinema, and JioSaavn. The phone is equipped with a 0.3MP front camera and a rear camera for basic photography.
The feature phone supports UPI payments through the JioPay app and is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery, a notable upgrade from its predecessor. It measures 15.1mm in thickness and weighs approximately 120 grams. Additionally, it features a 3.5mm headphone jack and FM Radio support.
Available in a single Luxe Blue color variant with a leather-like finish, the JioPhone Prima 2 is priced at Rs.2,799 and can be purchased from Amazon, JioMart, Reliance Digital, and various retail outlets.
