Vivo has launched its latest smartphone, the Y300, aimed at mid-range buyers in India. Along with the new phone, Vivo also introduced Suhana Khan as the brand ambassador for the Y-series.
The Vivo Y300 features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes in three color options: Dark Purple, Sea Green, and Grey. The smartphone is expected to include a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support, making it an attractive option for users looking for performance and style at a competitive price.
The Y300 is designed with a sleek, boxy shape and a metallic frame. The back panel houses a dual-camera setup with an intriguing design element: a ring light below the camera lenses to enhance low-light photography. The brand logo is placed at the bottom of the back panel, keeping the overall design clean and minimalist.
As for the specifications, the Vivo Y300 is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. It is expected to be available with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone features a 50-megapixel main camera using the Sony IMX882 sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary camera, and a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies.
Running on FunTouch OS 14 based on Android 14, the Y300 also supports IP64 water resistance, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, stereo speakers, and an under-display fingerprint sensor.
The Vivo Y300 is expected to be priced around Rs 21,000 for the base model, with the higher-spec variant likely to cost around Rs 24,000. The exact pricing details are yet to be confirmed by Vivo.
